Partners
Fine-scale coastal risk assessment relies on the synergy between fundamental research and field practitioners. Senti-Risk works in close collaboration with leading academic institutions and non-profit organisations that actively contribute to acquiring and sharing biological monitoring data.

An associative research institute founded by ecologist-biologists on the Gironde estuary, BioSphère Environnement specialises in conservation biology and coastal wetland ecology. The organisation is a key partner of Senti-Risk for the biotelemetry tracking of Atlantic avifauna, as well as for delivering scientific outreach initiatives and educational programmes for schools.

A nature conservation charity and nature reserve manager in Brittany. Through its Larus research programme dedicated to demographic monitoring and biotelemetry of large gulls, the organisation collaborates with Senti-Risk by sharing GPS tracking data to investigate interactions with fisheries and, more broadly, seabird vulnerability to cumulative coastal hazards.

French Seabird Scientific Interest Group (GISOM)
A national scientific network dedicated to the knowledge and conservation of seabirds across mainland France and overseas territories. By pooling scientific expertise and long-term monitoring datasets from its members, GISOM collaborates with Senti-Risk to deliver an integrated overview of population trends in response to anthropogenic pressures and coastal environmental change.

LIttoral ENvironment and Societies (LIENSs)
A joint interdisciplinary research unit (CNRS / La Rochelle University) dedicated to coastal studies. Through its BIOFEEL team (Biodiversity and Functioning of Coastal Ecosystems), the laboratory collaborates with Senti-Risk on bird community dynamics, trophic ecology, and avifaunal responses to coastal hazards and pressures.

League for the Protection of Birds (LPO)
France's leading national nature conservation charity (BirdLife Partner). Drawing on its local teams in Charente-Maritime and its network of coastal nature reserves (including the Lilleau des Niges Nature Reserve), the LPO is a key partner of Senti-Risk for bird telemetry tracking and land-sea interaction modelling.

A nationwide scientific project dedicated to characterizing migration pathways and movement patterns of seabirds and coastal birds across the English Channel and Atlantic coast. As a partner of Senti-Risk, the consortium synergises biotelemetry datasets to evaluate spatial connectivity and interaction risks with human activities both at sea and onshore.

A Research and Support Unit (UAR, CNRS / La Rochelle University) dedicated to the monitoring and conservation of marine mammals and seabirds. Serving as the national benchmark for marine megafauna observation, Pelagis provides Senti-Risk with standardised at-sea boat survey datasets (notably from the MEGASCOPE campaigns), crucial for modelling offshore seabird distribution and assessing vulnerability to coastal and maritime hazards.

A private research foundation dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of Mediterranean wetlands. As a partner of Senti-Risk, the institute contributes biotelemetry datasets on Mediterranean gull populations, vital for understanding individual dispersal and land-sea interactions across inter-regional scales.
